all inclusive package vaction for cheap?

My friends and I are planning to take a vacation in Jan of next year. We heard that Dominican Republic and the Bahamas are extremely nice. Any recommendation on one over the other? If there is another place that you had visited and would like to recommend it please do so. We still at the planning stage right now. I heard DR was cheaper but the Bahamas is nicer.
