Can I take over someone else’s vacation package, flight etc. and just get the name changed?
Lil’ Pris asked:
Someone can’t make it on the vacation so they would like to sell me the package. Is this possible?
It would be like you can’t go on a trip and instead of being out the money you sell me the vacation package and get the names changed.

Can people do that? And will I run into any problems?

You can’t ask us, you have to ask whoever sold them the package. Some tickets and trips have restrictions and others don’t. You don’t want to pay them for the trip and find out later that you couldn’t do it. You must read the fine print in the agreement between the airline/cruise/travel company and the original purchaser.

Before buying the vacation package, first call the airlines to see if they can transfer the name (with a fee I’m sure) then call the agency who books the package to see if they’re willing to change the name. Don’t go unless everything is under your name. Otherwise, you maynot be able to go and loose the money.
