How can I help our soldiers over the holidays?

I myself am a former Navy nurse, only off of active duty about 2 years and I still hold the military very near and dear in my heart. I would like to show my support for our troops during the holidays and thought maybe some of you would have suggestions. I have considered collecting donations for care packages at my work (local hospital), but would like some other ideas. Thanks!!

   .You’re a nurse. Thank you for your career. Overworked, underpaid and under appreciated. But you work miracles in your own special way.

   Then you would know how important it is for someone’s family to be close at hand when they are in the hospital.
   I’m sure you are familiar with the McDonald House program.

   You might consider a cash donation, in the amount you can afford and see fit, to this charity. I already have.
