I need helping selecting a Wii for my kids?
Litch asked:
What is the average price? Do I need more memory? What is a must have accessory that my 2 kids will need? Do I get a sports package with games, with the Wii package? Give me info that you know of, that will help a person who has never played before, understand what they need to get, to make their kids happy come the holidays - Thanks for any info!

Standard Price is $250. This includes the system and all wires necessary, the Sensor Bar, one Wii Remote (usually called a Wiimote), one Nunchuk controller attachment, and Wii Sports (a collection of Bowling, Boxing, Golf, Baseball and Tennis games).
Golf and Bowling can be played with a single Wiimote. Baseball and Tennis require one Wiimote per player, and Boxing requires one Wiimote and one Nunchuk per player.
Most other games you get will requires a Wiimote and Nunchuk for each player, so if your kids typically play together, you’ll likely want to get a second Wiimote and Nunchuk. I’d recommend getting WiiPlay, as it is a collection of 9 small gmaes, comes bundled with a Wiimote, and only costs $10 more than a Wiimote normally does ($50 for WiiPlay, $40 for just the Wiimote alone). Nunchuks are $20.
The system comes with 512 megabytes of Flash memory in it.. This is enough for game saves without a doubt. However, if you get into the Virtual Console (Nintendo’s service of downloading, for a small fee, games from the NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis, TurboGraphix16, and soon Neo-Geo systems), you might want to buy an SD card (like most digital cameras use). No need for a special card (though there is an overpriced Nintendo-branded one on sale at GameStop), and really no need to get one until you actually need one. Some of these games also are not comfortable to play without the Classic Controller attachment (another $20), but again, I wouldn’t buy this right off the bat.

the price is 250.00.if you have wi-fi(Internet conection)then i would suggest getting more memory because you can go online and buy old games(nes snes n64 sega turbographix)and play them on the wii.64 games take a lot of space so that is why you should get more memory.since you have two kids get one more wii remote, nunchuck and if you buy the old games get two classic controllers.you do get wii sports with the wii.you should get them mario party 8 or super paper mario.you should also pre order super mario galaxy it is going to be a very popular game.

well a Wii is averaging $400
if you want an extra Wii remote seeing as you have 2 kids they are about $60 and an extra Nunchuk is about $40.
I personally don’t think you will need any extra memory for it anytime soon unless you will be playing a lot of games.
