Possible purchase in approx.2yrs or less of a 2 or 3 bedroom condo, townhouse in Las Vegas area, Green Valley,
carlos l asked:
Henderson, Summerlin and open to other surrounding area’s.
I’m currently saving for a decent down payment and working on bettering my credit score. Currently in the low 600’s
I’m seeing prices dip a little over the last 5 months. I currently live in Santa Ana, CA. and the prices have dropped some but you get more bang for your dollar in surrounding Las Vegas area compared to Orange County, CA. and I have a few friends that live in Vegas and like it and from the times I’ve visited I like it too. The heat doesn’t bother me at all. A bit roasty at times, but I can deal with it.
Too all that are familar with Las Vegas area please e-mail back and give some insight and views from others opinion
Thanks a lot, I hope to hear from you out there soon.

According to the census, Las Vegas is the fastest growing place in the nation so a good bet may be to buy in a new project with projected completion by the time you are ready to move. This will help you lock the price and if things do not work out as expected to sell the option at a profit. What you are seeing is a market correction due to increasing interest rates not a dip that will continue for too much time, the FED will review the interest rate again in June 28 so keep looking at the money news to see if the market is expecting the FED to increase or to maintain the actual rate. If they plan to increase it, the further market correction is expected but if they do not raise it then it will be wise to start looking now since prices will not dip much more. Good luck!
