I qualified for the best rate guarantee through flamingo in November (comparing with Orbitz..i actually had to cancel my reservation..and rebook it..so I could fit in their 4 hour window)...and I saved $100 per room for the weekend. Also by booking directly through the hotel, you get better rooms reserved.
