What are some good vacation destinations on the east coast?
Amy W asked:
My boyfriend and I are 19, and we don’t have that much money to spend on an expensive vacation. We’ve already been to Myrtle Beach SC and Pigeon Forge TN way too many times. Anybody have any ideas?

Florida or new york depends on the weather

I would just go to South Carolina. Its not hot enough that you will be roasted and its more relaxing than FL beause that is where everyone goes to party and stuff. SC is country like and you will love it.

I spent a good amount of time in Virginia Beach and would recommend it.

New York City would be good, but a bit on the expensive side. Also, you can check out the New Jersey shore or Virginia Beach.

It actually depends on what activities you like to do.
For beaches, Virginia & Florida are great.
For nature, Blue mountain and Arcadia are beautiful.
For city, I’ll vote for NYC!

This isn’t my normal recommendation, but for a couple your age, I recommend camping on the Outer Banks.
Pitch a tent on Cape Hatteras and you’ll not only have a cheap vacation, but it will be a lifetime memory. It’s not as bad as you might think, and laying on the sand looking up at the stars and sleeping to the sound of the waves crashing is crazy romantic and soothing at the same time.
During the day you can visit the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, ride a ferry or two, play some putt-putt or bumper boats. You can also rent a dune buggy and tear up and down the beaches. Visit the horses up in Corolla, and one of the bars in the Nags Head / Kitty Hawk area. Check out the Lost Colony, Elizabethan Gardens and the Wright Brothers memorial.
I know it’s not action packed, but if you want quality time with someone you love, it is perfect.

I’ll stick with the places I know. If you are looking for a cheap vacation, I would look into camping. If you’re looking for a beach destination, try Ocean City, MD, Assateaque, MD, or even the Delaware beaches. They are all really nice. There are plenty of places to camp around the area too.
If you’re into the mountains, Shenandoah National Park in Virginia is really nice and the camp sites are cheap.
If you’re into music festivals, there’s always Bonnaroo (a little pricey) in Tennessee and The All Good Festival in West Virginia. I’ve been to Bonnaroo in the past and I’m going to All Good this year.
Also, Upstate NY is freaking awesome! Albany is a great city with a lot to do and the surrounding area has a lot of pretty scenery.
These are just some of the ideas that I have. Like I said, I’m not sure what you guys are into or where you are coming from. I live in Delaware.
